Win as a Team

We have an opportunity for a Property Risk Consultant to join our existing Risk Consultancy team working on a remote basis.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Undertake detailed location specific property risk management consultations following agreed processes
  • Successfully manage the risk consulting relationship with Intact Insurance customers to ensure quality and consistency, technical excellence and account level focus to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction
  • Contribute to the development of customer propositions, bringing knowledge and insight of customers and risks, to identify opportunities and benefits
  • Provide loss prevention / technical risk management advice and guidance to customers at the corporate level
  • Work in collaboration with Underwriting to ensure risks to the business are mitigated

Your skills and experience

  • Demonstrable technical expertise in risk management and loss prevention.
  • A background in engineering, health and safety consultancy, or a related discipline is desirable, supported by relevant professional qualifications.
  • Chartered status, or a clear pathway towards chartership, with a recognised professional institution would be advantageous.
  • Broad knowledge of property risk management principles, technical operations, systems, and processes across a range of industry sectors.
  • Proven experience undertaking Property Risk Management surveys within insurance, risk consultancy, or industrial environments.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of a client organisation and build lasting professional relationships.
  • Ability to analyse complex technical issues, identify practical solutions, and present recommendations in a clear, client-focused manner that supports understanding and engagement.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating self-motivation, organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst achieving operational targets.
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and evidence-based assessments of a client’s risk management profile to support underwriting decisions and drive long-term asset protection through risk improvement programmes.
