We are currently recruiting for a Pricing Data Consultant to join our team. As a consultant you will support the team by developing the pricing data assets and running our vital regular data processes to enable effective use within actuarial analyses. You will also work with the wider CUO function, responding to data queries and creating/automating bespoke reports. This role can be based in any of our offices on a hybrid.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Delivering quality and timely data for actuarial analysis and reporting, disclosing relevant assumptions and observations.
- Specifying/documenting data services and processes.
- Developing existing data assets to enable the best possible quality data and level of service for use within pricing.
- Finding solutions to strategic problems using best in class techniques, coaching and providing guidance to less qualified and/or experienced colleagues.
- Building, maintaining and working in partnership with colleagues across CUO and the wider business.
- Following the correct control environment in line with internal policies, procedures, governance, regulatory and legislative requirements.
Your skills and experience:
- Strong technology, numeracy and mathematical skills (e.g. Excel, Emblem, Radar, VBA, R etc).
- Actuarial or relevant practical Pricing experience.
- Capability in delivering data to support the wider Pricing function.
- Experience at preparing large & complex datasets for analysis, preferably within the General Insurance industry.
- Able to challenge standard thinking.
- Ability to prioritise and keep stakeholders updated as required.
- Ability to align with Group priorities and standards.
- Ability to coach less experienced team members.
