We are currently recruiting for a Multinational Property Specialist to join our Global Network Specialty Lines Underwriting team on a hybrid basis. This role can be based in any of the following offices: London, Chelmsford, Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool.
Your role serves as a technical authority within Intact's Global Network. You will leverage your experience in multinational underwriting and programme design to ensure accuracy, compliance and risk control. By applying technical knowledge, your role safeguards underwriting and claims integrity across international placements.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Being a major point of contact for users of the Global Network.
- Assessing and agreeing exposures that pass through the Global Network in line with your authority.
- Building relationships with partners producing into, and partners servicing, the network.
- Managing the overall exposure to the Global Network of property lines of business, including accumulation, exposure profiling and management.
- Training internal and external users on how to construct multinational programmes, issue pure fronting business, create compliant premium allocations, adhere to tax liabilities and help advise on compliant admitted and non-admitted reinsurance and insurance.
Your skills and experience:
- Experience of designing, implementing and/or managing multinational insurance programmes, ideally with exposure to property programmes, in either an underwriting, claims, or operations function – multiclass experience beneficial but not essential.
- Experience of operating in a highly regulated environment, with a working knowledge of the governance/compliance frameworks in operation within Intact or similar insurance company.
- A clear communicator, able to present information clearly, unambiguously and in a readily comprehensible and appropriate format for the audience and business purpose.
- Ability to build and develop relationships across all levels of the business including at an executive level.
