As an Assistant Underwriter, you will work closely with Insurance Brokers across the UK to identify and secure new business. Under the guidance of our experienced team, you will learn to assess risks, set premiums, and manage the full lifecycle of insurance contracts. This role is an opportunity to build technical underwriting expertise while providing high-quality service to our partners. You will be a key contributor to the team, helping us meet our targets by finding the best solutions for our customers and their businesses.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Underwriting & Risk Assessment: Evaluate insurance policies and assess the likelihood of future claims to come to an agreement on premiums and draw up contracts.
- New Business Development: Work with Insurance Brokers across the UK to identify and secure new opportunities to meet team and individual targets.
- Policy Management: Handle the full lifecycle of a policy, including issuing documentation, processing premiums, and managing renewals or mid-term adjustments.
- Customer Service: Build relationships with brokers to understand their requirements, explain technical information, and sell the benefits of products effectively.
Your skills and experience:
- Previous experience of underwriting insurance products is beneficial but not essential.
- Good customer service skills with a passion for delivering high-quality service to brokers and clients.
- Ability to multi-task and solve a variety of problems.
- A high degree of accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
