This role offers the chance to play a crucial part in ensuring prompt and fair settlements for physical damage and cargo claims across Canada and the US. If this sounds like your kind of opportunity, we look forward to hearing from you!
What you\’ll do here :
- Dive into both routine and complex claims, analyzing insurance policies to determine coverage and assess fair entitlements.
- Engage in timely and respectful communication with customers, brokers, claimants, lawyers, and other insurers to effectively resolve claims.
- Spearhead investigations and settlements of cargo and environmental losses, managing cases across Canada and the US.
- Collaborate with our Bodily Injury team on significant losses to mitigate exposure and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
What You bring to the table :
- University degree or relevant training and experience.
- CIP designation achieved or in progress.
- At least 2 years of experience adjusting commercial auto claims; Long Haul Trucking experience is an asset.
- Expertise in handling moderate to complex claims and effective negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills, decision-making ability, and excellent time management.
- Knowledge of provincial legislation governing auto insurance; Atlantic Provincial Licenses are advantageous.
- A warm, positive attitude with top-notch customer service skills.
- Willingness to secure Atlantic provincial licenses if not already held.
