At Insurwave, we are looking for remarkable people who thrive on making an exceptional contribution. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to play a key role in our Product team. What will you be doing?
As a Product Owner you will help to deliver feature expansions of our browser-based platform. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will be responsible for helping shape the future direction of our company, using your skills to help identify and deliver solutions to solve the problems of our commercial insurance clients. You will work closely with a team of software engineers, but also work alongside stakeholders from across the business and external organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for innovation and end-to-end product design and delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- Work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including Client Success, Marketing, UX/UI, and Engineering.
- Groom backlog and join with Product Manager to have solution that balances between Business Needs & Development effort.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure timely implementation with quality and testing. Provide detailed analysis, tracking, and reporting of production issues.
- Experience in software product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology.
- Have experience working with corporate clients, spend time understanding their needs, gathering feedback, implement product requirements and showcase product delivery.
- Work in an Agile environment and continuously review business needs, refine priorities, define milestones and deliverables, and call out opportunities and risks.
- Partner with stakeholders and customers across the business to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritisation.
- Translate requests and product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on issue status and resolution timelines.
- Prioritise and maintain a sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
What skills and experience will I need to bring with me?
You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills for the role, although more importantly if you don’t quite have all the skills, you have a passion and willingness for learning. Here’s what the teams will be looking for:
- Experience working in a B2B environment, ideally within insurance.
- Experience with Agile Project delivery methods, and associated software tools including Confluence and Jira.
- Experience with Product that is data driven and heavy in calculation logics.
- Experience in working with a large dataset, and having experience working with data extraction processes is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.
