This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Account Handler/Executive or Assistant Manager ready to step into a leadership role or for an existing Manager seeking a fresh challenge in a supportive, people-focused environment!
The Opportunity:
You will take ownership of a high-performing team of Account Handlers, leading from the front to deliver exceptional service, drive operational excellence and support continued business growth. Working closely with the Director and their senior leadership, you will play a key role in shaping team strategy, developing talent and strengthening client relationships, all within a collaborative and forward-thinking culture. There will also be rare yet rewarding opportunities to collaborate with teams in other offices aligned with business needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Private Client Account Handlers across 4 locations in Scotland.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching and ongoing development support.
- Manage client escalations with confidence and empathy.
- Oversee team performance, productivity and service delivery.
- Contribute to business planning, growth and operational improvements.
- Support recruitment, retention, and team engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate across offices, with occasional travel to other offices.
About you:
- Strong background in Private Clients insurance (essential).
- Proven experience at a Senior Executive, Assistant Management or Handler role.
- Confident handling complex client relationships, team and 1-2-1 performances and escalations.
- A natural leader with a passion for developing people.
- Commercially aware with strong organisational and communication skills.
- Professional qualifications (Dip CII or working towards) desirable.
- Experience requirements can be flexible- what matters most is your readiness to lead, your technical expertise and your ability to inspire a team.
