The role
You’ll be a key point of contact for customers, helping them arrange and manage the right insurance cover while building relationships that encourage them to return year after year.
Your day will include:
- Speaking with new and existing customers about their insurance needs
- Providing quotations and discussing suitable cover
- Handling renewals and policy amendments
- Identifying opportunities to support customers with additional insurance requirements
- Building strong, long-term customer relationships
- Liaising with insurers to achieve the right outcomes
- Developing your product and technical insurance knowledge
This is a role for someone who enjoys speaking with people, solving problems and providing a genuinely good customer experience.

You could already be working as a:
- Personal Lines Insurance Advisor
- Insurance Advisor
- Personal Lines Account Handler
- Insurance Broker
- Customer Service Advisor within insurance
- Sales Advisor within insurance or financial services or another retail sector.
You’ll ideally bring some insurance experience, although we’re also interested in people with a strong customer-focused sales background who are genuinely motivated to develop a career within the industry.
Most importantly, you’ll be confident speaking with customers, commercially aware, organised and keen to learn.
Working environment
The role is predominantly office based in Northampton. Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, plus one Saturday morning in two supporting telephone enquiries. You’ll receive time off in lieu for the Saturday worked.
