The predicted salary is between 80000 - 100000 € per year.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Policy & Legislation, the incumbent will assume the following:

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Lead relevant subject teams in the Policy and Legislation Division in formulating policies promoting sustainable development of the local insurance industry and maintaining Hong Kong’s status as a global risk management hub.
  • Champion initiatives of the Insurance Authority in promoting technology development and innovation in the insurance sector, as well as enhancing the industry’s operational resilience against risks associated with technological advancement.
  • Champion initiatives of the Insurance Authority in uplifting the industry’s capability in managing risks arising from climate change and natural catastrophe events, and promoting the adoption of sound practices for unleashing the social value of insurance and achieving sustainability goals.
  • Maintain and develop effective relationships with Mainland and overseas regulatory bodies and official entities on responsible policy areas.
  • Provide managerial support to senior management to ensure effective operation of the Division and coordination of policy formulation.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in related discipline. A higher degree will be an advantage.
  • At least 15 years of working experience, which should cover government or public bodies in Hong Kong, fintech and insurance.
  • A proven track record in public policy formulation and good general knowledge of local and international developments.
  • Good calibre of innovation and understanding about key areas of work under the purview of the position holder.
  • Strong commitment to upholding standards and values required of people holding public offices.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in Chinese and English. Being fluent in Putonghua is an advantage.

Appointment Terms

A competitive remuneration package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications on a 3-year contract will be offered.
