We are looking for a self-motivated Project Manager to join the Insulet R&D team responsible for the design and development of innovative products. This position is responsible for the project management of engineering programs through a methodical approach of planning, executing and tracking project deliverables from start to finish. The Project Manager works collaboratively with the SR Program Manager and demonstrates program ownership by maintaining the project progress and ensuring the scope and direction of each project is on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Program Managers to ensure programs are managed efficiently and effectively by participating and driving all phases of development starting with concept through design transfer.
- Responsible for planning and tracking project performance against completing short and long term goals.
- Ensure programs remain within scope and projects are on schedule.
- Maintain applicable standard project and reporting templates (scorecards, dashboards) and tools (JIRA, SharePoint, etc.).
- Manage the maintenance of a shared site that organizes and updates central project documents and manage access to the site for users.
- Prepare project summary reports, develop and track project plans.
- Aid in the preparation of project status presentations to Management regularly.
- Create meeting agendas, coordinate meetings, meeting minutes and actions.
- Prepare and route R&D purchase orders for approval.
- Adhere to all regulatory agency standards, company quality standards and corporate policies.
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as business needs demand.
Education and Experience Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Level of Degree in the Engineering or related technical discipline field of study.
- 3 years of demonstrated experience in project management working in a technical discipline.
- Knowledgeable of the US and International Medical Device and Delivery Regulations.
- Knowledgeable of product development lifecycle, including software and/or disposable development.
- Proficiency in project management, planning and organizing.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
- Ability to foster teamwork to work cooperatively and effectively with team members.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced, growth industry and work environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Proficient with Medical Device regulations (ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, 21 CFR part 820.30-Design Controls).
Preferred Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrated medical device and/or engineering preferred.
