Join Insulet as a Manager, Software Quality Assurance (Salesforce and Integrations), where you will lead a team of Quality Engineers responsible for ensuring quality across Salesforce platforms, enterprise applications, and integrations. In this role, you will drive an automation-first, AI-enabled testing strategy and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and scalable solutions in a global regulated environment.
The Quality Engineering Manager leads a modern QE team responsible for building quality into Salesforce platforms, enterprise applications, integrations, and connected web/mobile experiences from design through release readiness. This role goes beyond test execution by shaping quality strategy, improving engineering feedback loops, scaling robust automation frameworks using Java and Selenium, and applying AI to accelerate test design, risk analysis, and defect triage with appropriate human oversight. The manager partners closely with Product, Engineering and specialist teams to drive shift-left practices, strengthen performance confidence, and provide clear, data-driven release recommendations.
Key Responsibilities – Delivery & Operations- Define and evolve the quality engineering strategy for Salesforce platforms, enterprise applications, and integrations, embedding risk-based coverage, traceability, and audit-ready evidence across functional and non-functional validation.
- Establish and scale an automation-first model by evolving robust Java and Selenium frameworks, automating high-value scenarios earlier in the delivery cycle, expanding regression coverage, and reducing reliance on repetitive manual execution.
- Apply AI-enabled testing techniques to accelerate test design, optimize regression selection, summarise failures, identify risk hotspots, and improve defect triage while maintaining human review and quality governance.
- Orchestrate continuous quality activities across feature development, System Integration Testing (SIT), Design Verification (DV) testing, regression, and release readiness, ensuring fast feedback loops and clear go/no-go recommendations.
- Lead quality assurance and testing activities across Salesforce platforms and integrations, ensuring robust end-to-end validation of business processes, data flows, and release readiness.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Salesforce, and Release teams to sequence testing around dependencies, test data, and environment readiness.
- Elevate quality insights by defining and publishing quality metrics and presenting clear status and risk narratives to leadership.
- 8+ years in software quality, testing, or quality engineering, including proven leadership experience managing engineering or QE teams in Agile delivery environments.
- Deep experience driving quality for Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or equivalent), enterprise applications, and business-critical systems, including integrations, end-to-end workflows, and platform-level risk management.
- Hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications and integrations, including validation of business processes, APIs, data migrations, and cross-functional workflows.
- Experience leading System Integration Testing (SIT) and Design Verification (DV) testing for business-critical systems, with an understanding of documentation rigor, traceability, and validation expectations in regulated environments.
- Strong people leadership: mentoring, coaching, performance management, and career development for direct reports.
- Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks and an automation-first delivery model, including Java, Selenium WebDriver, and test design patterns, with the ability to coach teams to automate earlier and use Polarion ALM for end-to-end test governance.
- Practical experience applying AI-enabled testing techniques and using quality signals to improve test design, defect triage, and release confidence.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance expectations relevant to software quality in regulated environments, including FDA, GDPR, and GxP principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to craft executive-ready narratives and influence decisions.
- Experience in regulated environments (medical devices/healthcare) with working knowledge of FDA expectations, GDPR, GxP, and risk-based validation approaches such as CSA.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or related certifications) and/or experience supporting Salesforce release management and platform upgrades.
- Certifications or demonstrated experience in automation engineering, Selenium/Java ecosystems, enterprise application testing, or ISTQB are preferred; ACCELQ experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated use of AI/GenAI in QA for faster test authoring, smarter failure analysis, and improved quality decision-making.
- Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud; enterprise platforms and business applications; Java; Selenium WebDriver; test automation frameworks; Polarion; Jira or Azure DevOps; BrowserStack; Postman or RestAssured; AI-enabled testing assistants and analytics tools; performance validation platforms such as JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, or equivalent; and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with quality metrics, Salesforce release processes, integration testing, release dashboards, and engineering feedback signals is strongly valued. ACCELQ experience is a plus.
This role requires significant experience leading Quality Engineering and testing efforts across Salesforce platforms and integrations within a complex enterprise environment. We are looking for a collaborative, quality-focused leader who can combine technical depth, people leadership, and sound judgment to help teams deliver reliable, compliant, and scalable solutions that support Insulet’s mission.
