Insulet Corporation, maker of the OmniPod, is the world leader of wearable tubeless insulin pumps improving and simplifying the lives of diabetes patients. We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to provide legal counsel on a wide range of employment-related matters. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in UK employment law and support teams across Europe by partnering with local HR and managing outside counsel. This role combines strategic advisory work with hands-on problem solving, offering practical, business-oriented guidance to HR professionals and business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general employment law advice on the full range of employment issues faced by an international business, including but not limited to contractual arrangements, employment-related laws and regulations, HR policies, restrictive covenants, employment litigation matters, recruitment, redundancies and exits.
- Support European HR teams by coordinating with and managing outside counsel in various jurisdictions.
- Monitor, advise on and ensure compliance with UK and European employment laws and regulations, including upcoming changes such as the Employment Rights Bill in the UK.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and related documentation.
- Advise on employee relations issues including internal investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes and performance management.
- Collaborate with HR and business stakeholders to develop and implement compliant policies and procedures.
- Deliver training sessions on employment law and HR best practices.
- Manage external counsel where necessary in employment-related disputes, audits, and investigations.
Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor with a valid license to practice law in the UK.
- Post-qualification employment law experience, ideally with both in-house and law firm experience.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience supporting European jurisdictions preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
- Experience managing external counsel and multi-jurisdictional matters.
This role is eligible for hybrid working and will involve regular attendance at our Hammersmith office.
