Part‑time – Sandwich, Kent
Department: Engineering
Reporting to: Electronics and Software Team Leader
The position requires implementing a robust V&V test environment and process for validating our software/firmware for Instro's new products and advising on best practice.
The Work Will Involve:
- Working as part of an integrated team comprising mechanical, electronics and systems engineering disciplines.
- Creating an environment and process for testing developed/modified code.
- Participating in agile team events such as stand‑ups, planning, reviews and retrospectives and demonstrating improvements to customers and stakeholders.
- Acting as a reference to the rest of the team and providing support to other projects.
Security:
Due to the nature of the work all candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance to SC level.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, document and test developed/changed code produced by the team.
- Maintain clear records of all work and work in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Operate in line with the company’s ISO 9001:2015 system.
- Follow all Health and Safety requirements as laid down by statute or company regulation.
- Facilitate the internal audit process when required through the provision of necessary information.
- Support customers both internally and externally with troubleshooting software system solutions.
- Carry out any other related tasks as may be requested from time to time by the Engineering department.
