The predicted salary is between 70000 - 80000 £ per year.

£70,000-£80,000 per annum + £5,688 per annum car allowance. Fixed Term 6 months. Hybrid working-60% from our Head Office, Swindon.

About the Role

Finance Business Partner - Operations is a pivotal role both within the finance function and across Smiths News PLC as a whole. You will be the finance lead responsible for supporting the Operations function in developing and executing short, medium and long term strategic plans across the operational cost base which covers all depot sites and related head office cost centres. The role requires best in class financial business partnering, including forecasting and business planning, financial results analysis and insight and supporting all financial aspects of operational decision making, cost management and investment appraisals.

About you

  • Significant experience business partnering operations in a logistics or retail environment
  • Ability to build relationships with and to explain financial performance to non-finance colleagues (ie Operations)
  • Team player, balancing the needs of finance function and FP&A activities with needs of supported business areas
  • Significant forecasting and budgeting experience
  • Investment appraisal / business case development
  • Financially and commercially astute
