Let’s be #BrilliantTogether. ISS STOXX LiquidMetrix are hiring for a Surveillance Product SME to join their expert Product team in London. In this role, you will function as the bridge between clients (Compliance users), stakeholders, and engineering teams to help support our innovative Trade Surveillance platform, with a clear focus on data, design, and quality assurance. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain deeper experience about the Surveillance market and work in an exciting, wide-spanning Product role in a demanding environment, using a best-in-class technology platform.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and eager to make a positive impact in a dedicated team of SMEs, with the ability to effectively collaborate and work individually.

Core Responsibilities
  • Use Case & Requirements Refinement: collect product needs from Clients (Compliance), Strategic Steering Board, Technology teams, and Regulatory changes (MAR/MAR UK, MiFID etc).
  • Monitoring Product Backlog: Consult with stakeholders to triage incoming requests and issues and apply prioritisation based on client urgency, business impact, and costs. Ensure high-quality requirements in terms of Model specifications and user acceptance.
  • Model Design & Optimisation: Work with Development and Data teams to design and evolve Models whilst considering feasibility, inputs, outputs, parameterisation, and data dependency. Communicate finalised designs via well-written documentation.
  • Support Change Management: Deliver functional specifications and participate in the onward development process in UAT and Production environments, including testing, documentation and communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor Model Effectiveness & Calibration: Work closely with Client Success and clients to evaluate client configurations of the LQM Model suite. Ensure documentation is consistent and Model parameters are clearly explainable.
  • Training Exercises: Build and execute a training plan for internal and external teams to help deliver platform guidance.
Core Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Compliance, surveillance product delivery, or financial markets, with an interest in Product.
  • Degree‐educated, ideally in a financial or quantitative discipline.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‐technical audiences.
  • Adaptable mindset with curiosity to understand complex models and methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of market abuse and surveillance methodologies (e.g. Insider Dealing, Spoofing, Front Running).
  • Knowledge of key regulations such as MAR and MiFID.
  • Experience with market abuse surveillance tools, including model calibration, back‐testing, and risk/gap analysis.
  • Good understanding of market structures, asset classes, and trading venues.
Technical & Product Skills
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and documentation skills; able to analyse large datasets and identify patterns.
  • Familiarity with financial services platforms, data ingestion, workflows, and delivery mechanisms (APIs, UI).
  • Product‐focused mindset, with the ability to prioritise, contribute to roadmap decisions, and balance stakeholder trade‐offs.
  • Aware of AI, ML, and statistical modelling within surveillance systems.
