Let’s be #BrilliantTogether. ISSSTOXX seeks a Product Manager – Index Data Distribution to join our Software Product Management team. The role will lead the next generation of our index data distribution strategy and platform capabilities across entitlement, access control, and multi‑channel delivery. The selected candidate will drive product strategy end‑to‑end, acting as the accountable interface between business outcomes and technical execution to mature how STOXX delivers index data to clients globally, including Web portals, APIs, bulk delivery mechanisms, MCP (AI‑enabling pipelines) and third‑party data marketplace integrations.

The role owns the product vision, roadmap, and delivery outcomes for index data distribution and must make senior‑level tradeoffs across scalability, client experience, security, and operational resilience. This is an individual‑contributor role with strategic ownership and strong technical accountability. The ideal candidate has experience in data distribution models, product management and project delivery, demonstrated ability to liaise between clients, business and technology teams, and thrives in a dynamic environment where they can drive innovation, efficiency and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy – Data Distribution: Define, own, and continually evolve STOXX’s index data distribution product strategy and target architecture. Assess client needs, market trends, regulatory constraints, and internal platform capabilities to shape a multi‑year, outcome‑driven roadmap toward optimizing and modernizing index data distribution. Engage with third‑party platform distributors and client distribution platforms to understand the future of data distribution.
  • Product Discovery & Requirements Definition: Lead structured product discovery and design sessions with clients, business, technology and operations. Translate business and client needs into clear product requirements, technical specifications and prioritised backlog items. Own product documentation, including problem statements, solution options, trade‑offs and decision rationale. Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria.
  • Technical Delivery Collaboration: Own backlog prioritisation based on client value, risk, technical dependencies and strategic alignment. Define sprint goals, provide product direction to engineering teams and coach junior product managers and business analysts as required. Define acceptance criteria, non‑functional requirements (performance, resilience, security) and collaborate with QA to ensure production‑ready delivery. Act as escalation point for complex delivery issues and make prioritisation trade‑offs to maintain momentum and quality. Refine agile methodologies on feedback.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Primary senior product contact for client service, commercial and operations teams on all index data distribution topics. Present roadmaps to leadership. Partner with commercial teams on pricing, packaging and go‑to‑market strategy for data distribution products and channels. Contribute to governance forums, steering committees and executive updates with data‑driven insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Define and monitor KPIs for availability, latency, data quality, entitlement accuracy and client satisfaction. Drive automation, resilience and observability improvements across distribution pipelines. Reduce distribution errors and enhance client experience.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Essential: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, IT or a related field. 7+ years of experience in software or data product management, with at least 3 years in technically complex, platform‑oriented products. Strong understanding of modern index or analytics data distribution architectures, including APIs, event/batch delivery, entitlement models and access controls. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior engineers and architects on design and trade‑off decisions. Experience defining API/FTP/Web distribution requirements.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of the index business. Experience with agentic solution incorporation; hands‑on experience with cloud‑based data platforms and distribution, preferably GCP. Familiarity with authentication, SFTP security, RESTful API design. Experience providing functional leadership, mentoring or coaching within a product or delivery organisation.
Personal Attributes
  • Ability to lead transformation and platform projects, steering groups across the organization toward roadmap execution.
  • Strong analytical skills and passion for working with data to solve business challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds (business, operations, IT).
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes, not just outputs.
  • Pragmatic, goal‑oriented, and problem‑solving mindset with ability to manage complex projects.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
