We are seeking a driven, commercially minded Business Development Representative to join our London-based team. This role is a strategic "front-office" position focused on the EMEA Corporate Issuer market. You will be responsible for outbound business development, connecting with senior leadership to qualify needs and showcase our market-leading solutions for Corporate Governance, Executive Compensation, and AGM Advisory.

This is a high-impact role designed for someone who wants to hit the ground running for the Q1/Q2 AGM season. You will have the autonomy to craft bespoke campaigns while receiving direct mentorship from senior sales leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Outreach: Conduct high-touch, personalized outreach through direct email and phone calls to engage senior decision-makers.
  • Scalable Campaigning: Design and execute lead-generation campaigns at scale using HubSpot sequences and mass messaging to develop relationships across new accounts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and qualify opportunities within key client departments, specifically targeting Company Secretaries, Heads of Investor Relations, and CFOs.
  • Market Literacy: Stay abreast of the dynamics of the AGM cycle and the broader corporate governance environment to hold sophisticated, consultative discovery calls.
  • Pipeline Management: Partner with senior Sales Reps and the Advisory team to manage the top-of-funnel sales cycle, ensuring a high-quality handover of qualified meetings.
  • Creative Strategy: Autonomously plan and execute outreach plans to support the wider team’s revenue goals, bringing creativity to how we position our value proposition.

Desired experience and qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics, or a related field (Minimum of 3 years of higher education completed).
  • Industry Interest: A high-level understanding of, or a demonstrable interest in, Corporate Governance, Executive Compensation, and Capital Markets.
  • Preferred Background: Prior experience or internships at a proxy advisor (e.g., ISS/Glass Lewis), proxy solicitor, or advisory firm is highly favorable.
  • Communication: Superior verbal and written skills; must be able to establish credibility and rapport with C-suite executives.
  • Technical Fluency: Proficient in multi-channel sales tactics, including the ability to leverage CRM tools like SalesForce and HubSpot for automated outreach.
  • Language: Native or business-level fluency in English. (Fluency in German, Italian, French, Norwegian, Swedish, or Spanish is a plus).
  • Mindset: A self-starter who thrives under pressure and is eager to learn. While training is provided, a baseline "Governance IQ" is key to early success.
  • Direct Impact: Join at a critical time of year where your outreach directly shapes the AGM success of major global companies.
  • Career Growth: This role serves as a springboard into senior positions.
