Responsibilities

  • Develop and backtest quantitative index methodologies incorporating ESG, climate, and sustainability signals
  • Design rules-based index strategies and contribute to new product development
  • Analyse and manipulate large datasets using Python (and SQL where applicable) to support research and index construction
  • Collaborate with internal teams (data, product, sales) and contribute to cross‑functional projects
  • Participate in client‑driven projects, including discussions to refine and implement index methodologies
  • Contribute to research ideas across ESG, climate, and broader sustainability themes

Required Qualifications

  • Quantitative finance background (e.g. Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or similar)
  • 2–5 years of experience within financial markets (e.g. asset management, index providers, quant research)
  • Strong analytical mindset with hands‑on experience or interest in portfolio construction and optimization techniques
  • Postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative discipline
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience handling and analysing financial datasets
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain quantitative concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ESG, Climate, or Sustainability
  • Familiarity with ESG data / climate metrics, Benchmarking and tracking error concepts, Rules‑based index construction methodologies
