About the Role:
The ICE are seeking an analytical, detail-driven Assistant Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The Assistant Management Accountant plays a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial insight that supports decision-making across the ICE Group. In this role, you'll support month-end reporting, budgeting, analysis, and the calculation of royalties and sales commissions contributing directly to the financial health and operational success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management Reporting & Analysis: Assist in producing the monthly Management Accounts in line with set deadlines. Support the Budgeting & Forecasting process, including creating templates, validating submissions, and querying unusual variances. Provide trend analysis and financial insight to help budget holders manage performance.
- Operational Financial Responsibilities: Manage the monthly reporting timetable and coordinate inputs from colleagues across the business. Complete key Balance Sheet reconciliations, including intercompany, accruals, prepayments, WIP, and stock. Calculate sales team commissions and author royalties ensuring accuracy, full reconciliation to the nominal ledger, and clear audit trails. Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen financial controls.
- Stakeholder Support: Respond to finance queries in a specialist and advisory capacity. Work closely with colleagues across the ICE Group to meet reporting and project deadlines.
About You:
Skills & Experience:
- Strong reconciliation experience (essential).
- Highly proficient in Excel and confident using finance software systems.
- Significant experience with accounting packages and database tools.
- Solid understanding of management accounting (experience desirable).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly.
