The Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will oversee the smooth delivery of our catering operations, including the Kendal Café lunch service, room service, and a variety of high-profile events, conferences, and meetings. You will play a hands-on role in maintaining exceptional service standards, managing staff, and coordinating logistics with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of all food and beverage operations, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience.
  • Conduct daily staff briefings, delegate responsibilities, and cultivate a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to feedback and exceeding expectations.
  • Manage budgets and resources efficiently, including monitoring stock levels, equipment, and overall cost control.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management at all times.
  • Act as Incident Controller and Duty Manager during out-of-hours, ensuring the safety and security of the building and its occupants.

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality sector.
  • Committed to delivering outstanding customer service and creating exceptional experiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a passion for quality.
  • Confident using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Qualifications such as NVQ/HNC in Hospitality or Catering Management and WSET Basic Certificate in Wines & Spirits are desirable.
