The Client Engagement and Delivery Lead (AI) will drive the design and delivery of initiatives that help governments adopt and scale AI to improve public outcomes. Reporting to the Senior Director for Client Engagement and Delivery, the role spans strategy and execution. The Lead will work closely with country teams to identify government needs and shape opportunities for engagement, help governments design enabling policies for AI adoption, and strengthen country teams' delivery capacity. This senior, highly collaborative role suits someone with deep AI expertise, strong policy acumen, and a track record of working in government and engaging with senior officials. The successful candidate will ensure TBI's AI and digital work moves from ambition to delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Work with internal experts to translate global insights into actionable, context-specific recommendations for policymakers.
- Work with the AI Innovation Lab in the BU to support the development of AI products to solve governments' needs.
- Work with partners to co-design AI products.
- 10+ years of experience in digital transformation, AI policy, or public sector delivery in government.
- Must have hands-on government experience as implementers or practitioners (not policy-only backgrounds) at senior level.
- Proven ability to engage senior government officials and translate strategic objectives into delivery plans.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects or programmes.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with donor-funded or multi-year implementation programmes.
