The 8-week radiotherapy physics (RTP) work experience summer program 2026 offers the opportunity to university graduates or Physics & Engineering students to work on an RTP project under the supervision of a team of Clinical Medical Physicists. Graduates and/or students planning to apply to the Scientist Training Programme (STP) in Radiotherapy are particularly encouraged to submit their application.

Beneficial skills include coding and the ability to work with database software. As part of this work experience, participants will also be expected to join the RTP team in routine activities and, under supervision, take part in the day-to-day RTP processes.

The Devon and Exeter Cancer Fund will provide a £2000 bursary for each of the two selected participants; one participant will be based in Torbay, and the other in Exeter.

Candidates will be shortlisted and interviewed (virtually) on Friday 15th May 2026. Unfortunately, we are only able to offer this position to UK residents at this time.
