The Newton Gateway to Mathematics (Isaac Newton Institute) is pleased to be working with the United Kingdom Health Security Agency (UKHSA), who are seeking 5 PhD Students with strong backgrounds in data analysis, Statistics, Mathematics, Biological Sciences, or Social Research, to join their Early Career Researcher (ECR) programme as Senior Infectious Disease Modeller (Early Career Researcher) for 3 months.

The roles are available with a start date of 5th January 2026 and all placements must end by 5th April 2026 for this year’s programme. Funding will be provided to the post holder’s host University to cover 3-months of stipend payments, allowing PhD deadlines to be extended accordingly.

The deadline for applications is Sunday 9th November 2025.
