The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
IOM3, the leading membership organisation for the materials, minerals and mining sectors, is seeking to develop and deliver activities for 5 to 19 learners and their teachers. This role supports IOM3 in delivering its commitment to teaching materials, minerals and mining in schools.
The role will involve:
- Creation of resources in various formats.
- Delivery of presentations to groups of teachers and young people across the UK.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Technical knowledge within the Institute's sphere of influence, including materials, minerals and mining.
- A driver’s license.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.
- A passion for spreading knowledge to younger people.
Our team works on a hybrid basis from our Grantham hub two days per week, with an excellent benefits package including:

Responsibilities include:
- Supporting subscribers to the IOM3 School Affiliate Service by producing regular newsletters and promoting and delivering activities for schools.
- Identification, development, and delivery of online resources to support the materials, minerals and mining topics within the 5-19 curriculum.
- Identification, development, and delivery of the annual IOM3 Teachers Conference, typically during the summer term.
- Identification, development, and delivery of 2-day CPD courses for teachers.
- Supporting the organisation and delivery of the Polymer Study Tours.
- Supporting the organisation and delivery of competitions for schools.
- Supporting the organisation and delivery of the Magic of Materials course in collaboration with St Paul’s School.
- Scoping, developing, and delivering initiatives to support primary school teachers as a subject specialist.
- Liaising with members, ALS, and other stakeholders to encourage and support involvement in outreach.
- Collaborating with the Discover Materials, Minerals Matter and other initiatives to identify and support outreach activity within the materials cycle.
