Having at least 5 years' experience in flood risk management, drainage or planning you will play a key role in delivering strategic flood risk management objectives.

You should have an understanding of flood hydrology, hydraulic modelling, drainage and surface water management responsibilities and how these fit in with the current and future planning and development processes. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator and comfortable and experienced in negotiating with customers and stakeholders.

You must have a high level of personal drive and commitment to excellent customer care and the ability to solve problems and meet targets both as an individual and team player. Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated.
