Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST) is recruiting for a 12‑month fixed‑term vacancy within the Mersey Ferries fleet. This role focuses on marine electrical engineering – specifically High‑Voltage (HV) competence.

You’ll Bring Essential

  • Time‑served Marine Engineer (Level 3 minimum)
  • A formal, recognised qualification in Marine Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline)
  • High‑Voltage (HV) training, with evidence of competence
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation and compliance

Key Essential Criteria

  • Strong understanding of health, safety and compliance within a safety‑critical engineering environment

Salary

£33,470 – £35,369 per year
