Who are we? We are Malin Abram, part of the Malin Group. We are dedicated to heavy lift engineering and transportation. We form one of the most respected heavy lift operations in Scotland, with expertise spanning design and 3rd party warranty support, lifting, shipping and haulage, and turnkey transportation services. Our current projects provide engineering support for major defence, nuclear, oil and gas, and offshore renewables clients.

About The Role As a Graduate Naval Architect, you will play a key role in delivering engineering solutions in areas such as Coaster/Barge transportation engineering. Working under the guidance of Senior Engineers, you will contribute to Naval Architecture studies, including stability analysis, mooring analysis and structural analysis. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies and the opportunity to develop innovative solutions for maritime challenges.

Where will you be working? Malin Abram has a new regional office, based in the historic Swan Hunter Shipyard in Newcastle. The Swan Hunter Shipyard, an iconic landmark nestled along the banks of the River Tyne, has a storied history that spans over 150 years. Established in 1850 by shipbuilder John Swan, the yard quickly gained a reputation for its craftsmanship and innovation. In recent years, efforts have been made to preserve the legacy of Swan Hunter, and it is within this context that Malin Abram has chosen to open their new office.
