Role Outline
- Project management and marine consultancy.
- Knowledge and experience of marine sectors and activities relevant to the work at SAMS Enterprise.
- Coordinating and managing projects through the delivery process to meet budget and customer requirements.
- Act as lead editor/author on multi-disciplinary technical assessments/reports.
- Demonstrate technical competency and provide direction and leadership in one’s scientific specialism for commercial contracts.
- Opportunity development – engage with business development and proposals when required.
Ideal Candidate
- A degree or postgraduate degree in a marine environmental discipline.
- Relevant experience in a consultancy or regulatory background, including survey work and survey management (essential).
- Demonstrated previous experience of successful project management in a commercially competitive environment.
- Ability to use software such as Q-GIS, R and standard Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of costing/estimating, finance, resource and time management.
- Experience in working collaboratively with scientific staff and customers.
- Experience of contract management and working knowledge of standard contract terms and conditions (desirable).
