Purpose of Role: The Group Investment Management team (GIM) exists to drive and ensure value delivery from the Group's investment programme of over £1b per annum. Within GIM, a sub-team provides global process ownership and oversight for end-to-end investment financial management. GIM relies on the rich data that is available from the Group's project management systems, portfolio management systems, financial ERPs and reporting tools.
Key Activities:
- Ensure that regular financial data feeds and consolidation processes run on schedule, actively diagnosing and fixing any issues that occur.
- Review and quality assure the data by sense checking across different datasets, systems and periods.
- Make data accessible to users in cleanly managed, efficient structures.
- Provide regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis.
- Build and maintain forward looking models, including the Group depreciation model.
- Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Develop financial views to support LSEG's transformation to Product Led.
- Support the design of future processes in Fusion and across connected systems.
Key Relationships:
- Wider Group Investment Management team.
- Project Accounting and other Finance CoE teams.
- Group FP&A team.
- Divisional and Functional Finance teams.
Skills & Experience:
- Deep knowledge of Excel, ideally including connectivity to external data.
- Hands on experience with the Group's financial ledgers (ideally the projects sub-ledger) and reporting systems.
- Ability to translate and clearly communicate complex financial and system issues for non-experts.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Curious, well organised, with an ability to handle multiple priorities systematically and without oversight.
Education/ Certifications:
- Professional Finance Qualification - e.g. CIMA/ACA or similar.
