Reporting to the Senior Manager or regional revenue Assurance Controller, this position is part of the distributed team responsible for operational and technical controllership of the Data & Analytics businesses, ensuring compliance and enhancing data accuracy, policies and procedures. It requires close interaction with the D&A finance leadership team and finance leaders across LSEG, as well as coordination with the Centre of Excellence team.
Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Revenue assurance activities involving month‑end close for management reporting, actuals against plan/forecast/past performance and variance analysis on key performance indicators.
- Perform and review revenue accruals, deferred income accounting and postings.
- Exercise strong control over monthly revenue close for assigned markets in alignment with the group’s reporting policies and standards (including IFRS15 and IFRS9).
- Deal with internal and external auditors for smooth and timely audit closures.
- Ensure compliance with the Control Framework Management and adhere to its timelines.
- Communicate effectively, connect with business partners and contribute to the team.
- Adapt to new financial reporting systems.
- Interpret financial results and understand their implications for the future, taking necessary actions.
Requirements
- CA/C‑PA/CIMA degree or equivalent in finance.
- At least 2+ years of prior experience in a Big4 or large MNC, preferably from the service industry.
- Experience with systems such as Oracle, SAP, Pyramid, Hyperion, Salesforce is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written, with ability to interact with personnel at all management levels.
- Strong analytical skills, able to link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
- Clear thinking, problem‑solving, and experience leading projects or operational improvements within finance.
- Flexibility to work according to UK hours.
