Job Purpose
The ideal candidate needs to work in close coordination with the business team. This position will be supporting the business to prepare business plans, track monthly plan vs actual performance, process simplification, evaluation of budget proposals (capex / Revex) and multiple business analyses with an objective of optimising costs and maximising revenue.
Responsibilities
- Understanding top line way forward opportunities for each business line.
- Understanding Revex / Capex requirements.
- Preparing and supporting the business during the SBP cycle with the management team.
- Ensuring budget availability in SAP - creating budget swap proposals if required / unplanned activities.
- Monthly plan vs actual variance analysis and deriving deep insights.
- Preparation and analysis of business forecasts - short term and long term.
- Analysis of quantitative information relating to the business.
- Participating in monthly business reviews with business heads.
- Fixed overhead and capex tracking.
- Monthly business scorecard reporting.
- Supporting budget SWAP if required for business needs.
- Understanding non-budgeted requirements - preparing case/note for justification approvals.
- Pricing framework and decision support.
- Capex / Revex proposal evaluation.
- Evaluation of incentive schemes and proposing recommendations in line with business needs.
- Purchase requisition validation and recommending approvals.
- Participating as a finance CFT member for key business initiatives.
- Breakthrough projects - support (some of them may not have cost benefits but have other intangible benefits like cross selling).
- Initiating discussion and roadmap on inventory liquidation plan - support.
- Major vendor/customer support issues - coordination with the controllership team for smooth resolution of business issues/queries.
- Prepare progress on business initiatives and linking it with business benefits.
- Coordinating with central acts and finance teams to resolve any issues for the business.
- Developing processes/mechanisms to coordinate with market teams.
- Setting up working capital norms - tracking actuals & process key notes creation.
- Simplification of approval process for breakthrough projects.
- Developing interpersonal relations with the business team (boundaryless collaboration).
- Understanding related key rules and regulations relating to non-motorcycle business.
- Developing product profitability charts - growth / GC matrix and using Power BI for data analysis.
- Monthly / quarterly / yearly provisions and ordering norms validation.
- Coordination with central & budgeting team and controllership accounting/shared service team.
Qualifications
- CA/MBA with 10+ years of experience.
- Must have apparel industry experience.
- Expertise in using Google applications of spreadsheet/document/slides/google data studio.
- Good communication skills and strong analytical skills.
- Working exposure in major auto OEM and has the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Ability to handle timely delivery pressure.
