This is a 12 Months Fixed-Term contract and Part-Time position equating to 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday and one other day of your choosing).

We’re looking for a Head of Corporate Affairs who will be responsible for supporting IGD’s strategy through understanding and aligning the policy agenda. You will play a pivotal role in supporting IGD’s understanding of the regulatory landscape and its implications for the food industry. Additionally, you will be accountable for collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external industry experts. This role provides a unique opportunity to drive impactful change within the Social Impact function of IGD, contributing to the success of IGD in a dynamic industry landscape.

What you’ll do

  • Policy and regulatory leadership: Lead the analysis of the policy and regulatory landscape, assessing its impact on IGD's programmes and discerning implications for the food and consumer goods businesses. Develop clear, evidence-based policy positions that drive impact, shaping IGD’s advocacy and informing engagement with industry and government stakeholders.
  • Corporate Affairs network leadership: Build and maintain strong relationships with key government departments and policymakers, ensuring IGD is well-connected, informed and able to contribute constructively to relevant policy discussions. Develop and nurture relationships with industry stakeholders in Corporate Affairs functions to drive engagement and alignment with IGD's initiatives.
  • Representation and speaking engagements: Represent IGD on relevant speaking platforms, including Boardroom briefings and Industry Forums, ensuring effective communication of perspectives.
  • Policy and regulatory leadership: Analyse the policy and regulatory landscape, assessing its impact on the Food system. Discern implications for the food businesses and articulate these through IGD communications channels.
  • Corporate affairs network leadership: Develop and nurture relationships with industry stakeholders in Corporate Affairs functions. Drive engagement and alignment with IGD's goals and initiatives.
  • Representation and facilitating engagements: Participate in Boardroom briefings and Industry Forums. Ensure effective communication of Industry perspectives.
