We work strategically to drive business improvement in health, safety and fire safety management, transforming fire safety culture through innovation and digitalisation.
About the role
This role is an opportunity to take the lead on our new fire safety strategy whilst maintaining hands-on operational responsibility. You’ll help to build a best-in-class fire safety management system that’s responsible for keeping over 51,000 Home Office colleagues safe.
Working with data and digitalisation, you’ll drive innovation to enhance our fire safety systems and governance. As well as leading a team of 7 Fire Safety Management Business Partners, you’ll also have the opportunity to deputise at senior boards and make critical, life-saving decisions.
The scale, complexity and significance of the Home Office portfolio make this a role that comes with a deep sense of purpose and a direct impact on high-risk environments with public-facing consequences.
Travel
Frequent travel in the UK (weekly/bi-weekly depending on workload) will be required. This is a national post requiring direct engagement with business partners at sites in their regions.
About you
You’ll have MIFireE or MIFSM membership with relevant supporting fire safety management qualifications at Level 4 or equivalent.
You’ll be an experienced manager, able to drive and maintain high levels of performance within your team. You’ll be able to work collaboratively while communicating with – and influencing – a wide variety of stakeholders.
Adept at optimising processes and driving continuous improvement, you’ll maintain focus on customer service excellence and legal compliance.
