About The Role
As Social Media Executive, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of social channels across ICMP and SAE, telling the stories of our institutions, with a primary objective of supporting student recruitment. This is a dynamic, hands-on role combining strategy implementation, community management, monitoring and content creation. Approximately 70% of your time will focus on channel administration and optimisation, with 30% dedicated to contributing creative content alongside the wider marketing team.
You’ll collaborate closely with local marketing teams, freelancers and stakeholders to ensure content is surfaced effectively, conversations are nurtured, and audiences are engaged at every stage of their journey.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and administering core social channels across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Implementing and contributing to social media strategy to grow reach, engagement and follower numbers
- Planning and scheduling integrated content calendars using tools such as Hootsuite
- Monitoring and responding to DMs, comments and tagged posts with professionalism and sound judgement
- Administering Facebook community groups including Freshers, Accommodation, Alumni and student networks
- Tracking analytics and delivering monthly KPI reports with actionable insights
- Monitoring competitor activity and emerging trends
- Identifying content gaps and working with the team to fill them creatively
- Supporting influencer outreach and community ambassador programmes
- Occasionally attending live events, recruitment fairs and open days
- Contributing to broader marketing initiatives as needed
You’ll play a key role in safeguarding and enhancing brand reputation across both institutions, proactively managing conversations and flagging potential risks where necessary.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree educated, ideally in Marketing, Communications or a creative discipline
- Commercial experience administering multiple social media channels simultaneously
- Experience planning and scheduling content across platforms
- Strong community management and customer service skills
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills, adaptable across platforms and audiences
- Strong storytelling ability across formats
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Experience creating digital assets including graphics and video content
- Confident using analytics to evaluate performance and refine strategy
- A genuine passion for music and the creative industries
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
- Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours
Desirable
- Experience working with influencers and freelancers
- Graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva)
- Basic video editing skills
- Understanding of paid social strategies
- Broader knowledge of digital marketing channels
