The predicted salary is between 22 - 34 £ per hour.

SAE London is seeking a Games Design lecturer to collaborate on teaching in our Games Design and Games Programming courses. This role involves preparing and delivering on-campus teaching including tutorials and workshops.

Salary: £26.10 to £40.70 depending on experience. Hours: Full time or Part Time. Contract Type: Hourly Paid.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and facilitate learning through a variety of engaging methods of pedagogy.
  • Enhance students’ learning experience and outcomes through focused talks, and delivery of lesson plans and course material as required.
  • Provide timely and useful feedback to students to challenge their thinking and ensure understanding.
  • Demonstrate effective, consistent, and timely marking of assessments.

Essential Criteria

  • Master’s degree in a related field, or Hons degree (in progress or complete and/or industry experience).
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal skills, high level of organization and good time management skills.
  • Demonstrated student service orientation.
  • Full working rights for work in the UK. This role is fully based on campus.

Desirable Criteria

  • Relevant industry experience in games programming/development pipeline and relevant software, with specialisms including Unity or Unreal.
  • Teaching experience, including the creation of session plans and preparation of materials.
  • Specialisms including game engines, Level Design, playtesting, Games and System design, Game Economies, Marketing, Narrative for Games, Production, or other games development topics.
  • Experience in project-based learning, using flipped teaching techniques and other contemporary forms of facilitating learning.
  • Experience in using technology in learning, including virtual learning platforms.
  • Ability to teach across other disciplines, including web, games art, games programming, and content creation.
  • PlayStation development experience.
