We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radio Test Engineer to join our team. This is a bench test position that requires a strong understanding of radio communication equipment, along with the ability to troubleshoot and test these systems effectively. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering and product development teams to ensure the highest quality standards for our radio communication products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bench Testing : Perform comprehensive testing and evaluation of radio communication equipment, including transceivers, base stations, repeaters, and other RF devices.
- Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve issues related to radio equipment performance, RF signal quality, and functionality.
- Test Documentation : Prepare detailed test reports, documenting test procedures, results, and any anomalies. Ensure that all testing is conducted according to industry standards.
- Equipment Calibration : Ensure that test equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, following the necessary standards.
- Failure Analysis : Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures, provide feedback to the design and development teams, and contribute to the improvement of product performance.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other engineers to communicate test results, suggest improvements, and provide insights for product design enhancements.
- Compliance : Ensure all testing is done in compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.
- Continuous Improvement : Suggest improvements to testing methods, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in radio equipment testing.
Qualifications:
- Education : Bachelor\’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience : Testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining radio communication equipment (preferably in a bench test environment).
- Technical Skills :
- In-depth knowledge of radio communication technologies (e.g., analog and digital radio systems, Wi-Fi, LTE, etc.).
- Experience with RF testing equipment, such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and network analyzers.
- Familiarity with testing standards and protocols, including IEEE and industry-specific standards.
- Strong understanding of electrical/electronic principles and troubleshooting methods.
- Problem Solving : Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues with radio communication systems.
- Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills to document findings and interact with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to Detail : High level of attention to detail and accuracy in testing and reporting.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with software-defined radio (SDR) platforms and tools.
- Experience with automated test systems and scripting (Python, LabVIEW, etc.).
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FCC, CE) related to radio communication devices.
- Experience in a lab environment with a strong understanding of bench-level troubleshooting.
