Our client, a leader in radiation detection and identification technology within the IT sector, is looking for a highly motivated Grad Electronics / Software Engineer FTC to join their team.
Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of important technological developments with mentoring from the rest of the innovation team.
  • Engage with customers to understand requirements and how our products are applied in real use cases.
  • Propose and define meaningful and useful solutions based on customer understanding.
  • Develop proof-of-concept systems to a quality that can be demonstrated to customers.
  • Lead handover of code and designs to software and engineering teams for full implementation as a product.
  • Develop Virtual Sources, simulating radiation sources to be detected by real radiation-sensing products.
  • Explore different methods of tracking sources and detectors for user training.

Job Requirements

  • Solid grounding in mathematics (particularly statistics and error calculations) and radiation physics.
  • Skills in computer science or software engineering.
  • Experience in software development and algorithm development prototyping.
  • Electronics skills, including circuit design, board layout, and firmware prototyping.
  • Some knowledge of radiation physics and detector physics is desirable.
  • Experience with C++ or Python.
  • Proficiency with Github, Gitlab, or equivalent.
  • Experience with Linux-based operating systems.
  • Experience with computer vision and machine learning methods.
