We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead technology and retail projects across the UK and ROI at Institute of Communication.
Project Manager – IT Retail | 6-Month Contract
Location: Hybrid – 1 day per week on-site in Fareham.
Start: ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver assigned projects/workstreams end-to-end, ensuring timelines and outcomes are met.
- Maintain RAIDD and action logs, managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Work with Product Owners to understand roadmap impacts and support decision‑making.
- Use a collaborative \’test and learn\’ approach when working with third parties and SaaS providers.
- Track progress, ensuring clear ownership and accountability across teams.
- Manage cross‑functional and third‑party dependencies to keep delivery on track.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to senior stakeholders.
- Lead meetings, workshops, and cross‑team collaboration.
- Follow PMO frameworks and maintain accurate portfolio reporting.
- Run lessons‑learned sessions and support ongoing process improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the Retail Sector.
- Strong knowledge of RAIDD management, governance processes, and project controls.
- Experience collaborating with third parties and delivering projects involving SaaS solutions.
- Ability to work confidently across both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with strong adaptability and effective time management.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
- A hands‑on, proactive approach with the ability to identify issues early and drive effective mitigation.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and M365 (Teams, SharePoint, Office).
Details
- Contract: Initial 6 months
- Rate: Up to ÂŁ600 per day (Inside IR35) depending on experience
- Location: Hybrid / Fareham
