Tutor at Woodlands OEC Oxfordshire Outdoors is seeking to appoint on a permanent basis an Outdoor Learning Tutor to join our team of staff based at Woodlands Outdoor Education Centre, Glasbury on Wye. Oxfordshire Outdoors is managed by Groundwork South Trust Limited; we have 3 Centres: Woodlands OEC near Hay on Wye, Kilvrough Manor on the Gower and Yenworthy Lodge on the North Devon Coast. The Centres operate all year round; term times are our busiest times with courses from schools, many of which are from Oxfordshire. We are highly regarded by all of our schools and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outdoor activity courses using a variety of inspiring off-site venues in the Bannau Brycheiniog/Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye Valley, as well as providing some on-site activities.
- Facilitate the delivery of residential courses, including weekend work and evening duties.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience delivering one or more of the following activities: Canoeing, Caving, Climbing, Gorge Walking, Hill and Mountain Walking, Team Building and Ropes Course activities.
- First aid certificate.
- Qualified to drive a minibus.
- DBS check required.
Salary is from £27500 to £31220 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. Start in September 2026.
