Seasonal Activity Instructor 2026
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated instructor to join our well-known and highly respected activity centre.
Carlton Lodge Activity Centre is part of North Yorkshire Youth. We offer a wide range of courses to a diverse client base, but predominantly primary schools and youth groups throughout the busy months.

Duration / Hours
The hours are 37.5 per week and include evenings and weekends. This is a seasonal position starting on Monday, 30th March 2026 up until Friday, 6th November 2026.
Requirements
- A valid First Aid Certificate.
- Training in at least one National Governing Body Award in one of the following disciplines: (Or experience equivalent to)
- Paddle Sports
- Climbing
- Caving
- Experience working in a centre or relevant coaching experience.
- A full UK driving licence
- An NGB instructional award in one of the above disciplines
Whatβs in it for you?
Salary β Starting rate of Β£24,004 pro rata
Kit β Heavily subsidised clothing and equipment.
CPD Leave β 4 days paid leave for the completion of Continued Professional Development.
Training β Full training will be given at the start of the season, and there will also be the opportunity for candidates to complete their Cave Leader Training.
Accommodation can be provided onsite, at a small cost.
