The Role
As an External Quality Assurer with CTQ, you’ll focus on conducting observation visits and producing clear, evidence-based reports that confirm centres are meeting CTQ and regulatory requirements. You’ll play a key part in ensuring assessment standards are applied consistently, qualifications are delivered as intended, and learners are treated fairly.
- Carrying out centre observation visits and sampling activities.
- Reviewing assessment and IQA evidence for validity, reliability, authenticity, and sufficiency.
- Producing timely, concise, and professional EQA reports.
- Providing supportive feedback to centres and highlighting areas of good practice.
- Maintaining up-to-date CPD and occupational competence relevant to the qualifications being quality assured.
About You
We’re looking for EQAs with credible first aid expertise, strong attention to detail, and confidence in making fair, consistent judgements. You’ll be comfortable visiting centres across the UK and have experience in providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK.
- Current, credible experience in delivery, assessment, or quality assurance of first aid or outdoor qualifications.
- Assessor qualification (D32/D33, A1/A2, or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement).
- IQA qualification (D34/V1, or Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice).
- EQA qualification (D35/V2) or willingness to work towards this with CTQ support.
- Experience working within a regulated awarding environment.
- Strong written communication and report writing skills.
