We are recruiting an Assessment Delivery Executive for a permanent contract.
The position is hybrid, with a mix of home‑based work and weekly attendance at our Oxford hub.
Flexible working arrangements are available in accordance with our hybrid working policy.
Purpose of Job
Reporting to an Assessment Delivery Manager, the Executive plays a key role in delivering assessment processes within specified time limits, ensuring learners receive a fair and consistent service while maintaining the integrity of IFo A qualifications.
Dimensions
There are over 15,000 registered learners and 26 bi‑annual assessments, plus 3 continuous assessments.
The Executive supports accurate data entry, platform configuration, and coordination with external suppliers and 400+ examiners to meet agreed delivery dates.
- Principal Accountabilities
- Support the set‑up and configuration of internal databases and exam platforms, ensuring data accuracy and validation.
- Assist with authoring exam questions on the platform, liaising with collaborators and raising awareness of impending deadlines.
- Manage access arrangements under the Equality Act 2010, collecting and entering accurate data to inform candidate sittings.
- Help administer assessments, coordinating with external providers and raising deadline concerns.
- Collate exam marking, monitor anomalies, and provide feedback to examiners to maintain result accuracy.
- Prepare documentation for mitigating circumstances, review completeness, and compile packs for panel meetings.
- Gather reports from Chief Examiners during or after sittings.
- Ensure candidates receive results, transcripts, and related information within agreed timescales.
- Identify improvement opportunities within assessment systems, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in system development and testing to support operational readiness of exam delivery platforms.
- Impact
The Executive administers a wide portfolio that includes accurate data entry, handling student queries, collating marking and reports, and supporting mitigating circumstances.
Their work is critical for maintaining exam integrity and is closely monitored by senior committees and external stakeholders.
Decision-Making and Complexity
The Executive supports live examination decision-making, uses rules and guidance, and manages marking team allocations.
They recommend process changes, identify training needs, and handle complex GDPR-compliant data entry and large dataset collation to support reporting and management information.

- Additional Information
Travel to the main hub is required approximately once a week, with daily travel during live exam sessions.
Additional travel to events occurs about twice yearly, including occasional overnight stays.
The role includes out-of-hours work during exam and result processing periods (approximately six weeks per year).
