This role is ideally suited to individuals currently operating at Senior Finance Manager, Head of Finance, or Plant Controller level, seeking their first step into a Finance Director position.
Location: Thailand (Permanent relocation required – Unless already based locally, this is NOT a secondment role.) Initial UK-based period (~6 months)
Finance Director - The RoleFollowing an initial onboarding period in the UK (~6 months), you will relocate to Thailand to take full ownership of the finance function for a significant manufacturing operation. Working closely with the Managing Director and site leadership team, you will play a key role in driving business performance, supporting operational decision-making, and delivering continuous improvement across a technically complex, capital-intensive environment.
Finance Director - Key Responsibilities- Full ownership of site finance, including reporting, controls, and governance
- Business partnering with operations, engineering, and manufacturing leadership teams
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and CAPEX evaluation and investment decisions
- Driving improvements in cost, margin, inventory, and working capital performance
- Supporting operational teams with costing, efficiency, and production performance analysis
- Delivering clear commercial insight to influence strategic and day-to-day decisions
- Leading and developing the local finance team
- Supporting ongoing finance transformation, process improvement, and simplification initiatives
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Fluent English Speaking
- Currently in a senior finance role (e.g. Senior Finance Manager / Head of Finance / Plant Controller) within:
- automotive, aerospace, defence, engineering, or complex industrial manufacturing environments
- Experience in large-scale, operationally complex manufacturing or engineering businesses
- Strong grounding in:
- Plant / operational finance
- Costing, inventory, and supply chain finance
- CAPEX and investment appraisal
- Proven experience partnering with operations, engineering, or site leadership role
