A 9 month contract, ASAP start. Remote.

Instinct is working with an acclaimed client in the higher education space who lead in several global league tables for their specialist subject area research. They are currently seeking an experienced Moodle Learning Technologist to join their team and support needs on the Moodle platform as well as other learning technologies.

The successful post holder would be responsible for managing and maintaining the Moodle VLE and being first line support for any user queries relating to the platform. Aside from this, there would be a responsibility to troubleshoot issues, manage platform functionality, collaborate with other technology-focused team members for platform alterations, and contribute to the course build process.

In terms of the wider organisation, there will be a need to assist staff and students with appropriate training on Moodle and other tools, as well as promoting the use of these tools across departments and faculties.

The ideal person will have:

  • Experience managing Moodle to a high level
  • Excellent knowledge of front end development tools such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
  • Experience designing and developing courses on Moodle; and the process of working with subject matter experts and technical teams
  • Experience creating and delivering training to staff and students on web/learning technologies
