We are working with a defence training organisation, supporting the delivery of high-quality, modern training solutions. Through a blended and technology-led approach to learning, this organisation partners closely with government and defence stakeholders to deliver training that meets the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and operational relevance.
The WESM TWS SME will play a key role in supporting a courseware and media development programme. You will be responsible for identifying, gathering, validating, and contextualising technical data to support the development of DSAT-aligned training solutions. Working closely with courseware developers, media teams, and customer stakeholders, you will ensure training content is technically accurate, operationally relevant, and delivered to the correct standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support the analysis, design, maintenance, review, and production of DSAT documentation and processes
- Interview and collaborate with subject matter experts to gather the required technical data
- Participate in workshops to analyse and agree on training requirements and findings
- Collaborate with courseware and media teams to contextualise training language, conditions, and standards
- Maintain, update, and revalidate course technical data
- Identify opportunities to exploit existing training methods and media better
- Support the successful delivery of the wider training service as required
Proven at-sea experience as a WESM TWS e.g. in a TWEO, DWEO or TWS Gp Chief/Head role. Holding an active SC Clearance.
Qualifications: Proven at-sea experience as a WESM TWS SME or equivalent role, and ability to work with DSAT-aligned training content (as listed in responsibilities). Active SC Clearance.
