Role

The Marine Engineering Submarine Subject Matter Expert will provide essential technical data and expertise to support courseware and media development. The SME will demonstrate strong MESM knowledge, skills, and behaviours and will understand the required technical documentation and how to access it. Working alongside Courseware and Media Teams, the SME will identify and supply the technical information needed to create Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) courseware. They will also ensure that training content is correctly contextualised, accurate, and aligned with required standards.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the analysis, design, maintenance, and production of DSAT documentation and processes for training environments.
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts and participate in workshops to gather and validate technical information.
  • Work with customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders to identify and source technical data for courseware and media development.
  • Collaborate with content developers to ensure technical accuracy, correct language, and appropriate standards within the training solutions.
  • Maintain, update, and revalidate technical data as required.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance training delivery by utilising existing training methods and media.
  • Promote and uphold Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
