Company

Instinct is working with a leading training provider on a mission to unlock potential and create career opportunities through high-quality apprenticeships. They create industry-focused apprenticeship programmes across business, digital, and creative sectors—combining hands-on work experience with structured learning to accelerate careers and drive real business impact.

Role

They are looking for someone with a passion for digital learning, an understanding of how people learn, and a desire to pass this knowledge on to the next generation of learning designers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help their learners complete their Digital Learning Designer programme. You will support their apprentices in acquiring and demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed, and offer advice and guidance throughout their learning journey.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver a consistently high-quality learner experience, supporting apprentices throughout their entire journey through effective coaching, mentoring, and tailored guidance.
  • Take ownership of a cohort of apprentices, ensuring they remain on track to successfully complete their programme, proactively identifying risks and implementing interventions where needed.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one coaching sessions and structured progress reviews, setting clear objectives and ensuring both apprentices and employers are fully aligned on progress and performance.
  • Produce and share detailed, accurate, and timely progress reports, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to support learner development.
  • Design and deliver engaging, interactive training sessions, including virtual workshops, webinars, and in-person development days that bring learning to life.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of learning content, ensuring materials remain relevant, innovative, and aligned to industry needs.
  • Collaborate closely with other Skills Coaches to standardise delivery approaches and continuously improve programme quality.
  • Assess apprentice work against required standards, providing constructive, actionable, and developmental feedback to support progression.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with apprentices, acting as a key point of contact and providing additional pastoral support where required.
  • Coordinate and support training activities delivered in partnership with employers and industry experts, ensuring a seamless and impactful learning experience.
  • Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with all stakeholders, including learners, employers, and internal teams.
  • Effectively manage your own schedule and caseload to ensure timely delivery, high-quality support, and successful learner outcomes.
  • Ensure full compliance with quality assurance processes, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards.

For this role, you must have the following:

  • Proven experience in digital learning design, with a strong understanding of both theoretical frameworks and practical application.
  • Demonstrable background in learning design, education, coaching, or training delivery, ideally within either academic or commercial environments.
  • A genuine passion for supporting and developing others, particularly early-career talent.
  • Ideally hold a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent qualification).
  • Strong understanding of learner engagement techniques and effective learning methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and End Point Assessment processes would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build credibility and rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident using a range of systems and tools, including MS Office, Learning Management Systems, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • A proactive and innovative mindset, with a desire to continuously improve both your own performance and the learner experience.
  • Emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and able to balance commercial objectives with a supportive, learner-focused approach.
  • A strong personal drive to help individuals start and progress in meaningful careers, delivering training that makes a genuine impact.

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can enhance the next generation of Learning Designers, we would love to hear from you!
