We’re supporting a global automotive consultancy on an exciting project requiring experienced Automotive Technical Content Researchers to join on an initial 6-week contract basis.

This role sits at the intersection of automotive engineering, technical training, and content development. You’ll work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Instructional Designers to extract, validate, and structure technical automotive content for learning solutions.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for translating complex automotive engineering concepts into clear, accurate, and usable content for non-technical audiences. Projects will include reviewing and refining existing materials, validating terminology and technical accuracy, and supporting the development of technical learning content across a range of automotive subjects.

Areas covered may include:

  • Basic electrical systems
  • Battery safety
  • High-voltage (HV) systems
  • System de-energisation
  • Diagnostics
  • OEM-specific technical terminology and processes

Experience Required

Essential:

  • Strong automotive technical background with hands-on or technical systems experience
  • Ability to engage confidently with engineers and SMEs
  • Experience simplifying complex technical information for wider audiences
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to ask insightful technical questions and validate information effectively

Highly Desirable:

  • Knowledge of high-voltage (HV) systems, batteries, diagnostics, and EV safety
  • Previous experience within technical training, instructional design, technical authoring, or learning content environments
