We are seeking a talented and collaborative Digital Learning Technologist to support the development of high-quality blended and online learning experiences across a large and ambitious higher education environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of digital education, partnering with academic and professional services teams to enhance teaching, learning, and student engagement through innovative use of learning technologies and digital pedagogy. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the institution’s digital learning provision, including contributing to a major transition from an existing Virtual Learning Environment.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to design, develop, and improve online and blended learning experiences, while also supporting staff capability through training, guidance, and consultancy.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with academic and professional services colleagues to enhance digital learning delivery and student experience
- Support the design, development, and review of blended and online learning
- Provide expert guidance on digital pedagogy and learning technologies
- Deliver workshops, training sessions, and support materials for staff
- Promote innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and assessment
- Support the effective use of learning technologies, including VLEs, assessment tools, and collaboration platforms
- Contribute to institution-wide digital learning initiatives, frameworks, and best practice
- Ensure digital learning developments align with accessibility, copyright, and data protection requirements
- Support the successful adoption of new technologies and systems during platform transition activity
- Experience supporting digital learning in higher or further education, or a similar environment
- Strong understanding of online and blended learning design principles
- Experience working with virtual learning environments and associated educational technologies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively
- A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach
