Immersive Instructional Designer / Learning Designer

12-month contract

4 days per week (on average)

Circa £275 per day (outside IR35)

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead learning design from discovery and ideation through to scripting and storyboarding.
  • Collaborate closely with internal developers and designers to bring immersive solutions to life.
  • Work directly with stakeholders to shape project goals, tone, and structure.
  • Design engaging, interactive, and narrative-driven learning experiences.
  • Apply modern learning principles, especially simulation, gamification, AR/VR, and mobile-first design.
  • Uphold the agency’s commitment to tailored, non-templated learning products.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in designing immersive and interactive digital learning.
  • A strong background in global learning vendors or agencies.
  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with AR/VR, performance support tools, and point-of-performance learning is a plus.
  • A wide variety of industry and client knowledge (due to the sheer variety of clients you would work with).
  • A willingness to learn the agency’s internal practices and contribute to a collaborative creative culture.
